LONDON (ICIS)--The European butadiene (BD) monthly contract price (MCP) for October has settled down by €10/tonne from September at €1,540/tonne ($2,000/tonne) in an attempt to reflect both rebounding upstream values and a flat-to-soft demand situation, a major producer said on Friday.
The producer said the agreement had been reached after “quite some discussion” and that it had not been easy to find a compromise.
The producer said it had agreed the contract with three of its consumers. Confirmation from two of the consumers and two other suppliers, is still pending.
The contract is agreed on a free delivered (FD) northwest Europe (NWE) basis.
