HOUSTON (ICIS)--Dow Chemical reported flaring from its Freeport complex in Texas during the weekend, citing an ethylene pipeline inspection in a public filing available on Monday.

The pipeline was decommissioned in preparation for an internal integrity inspection, the company said in the filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

Dow has two crackers in Freeport, with a combined ethylene capacity of 1.6m tonnes/year.

A Dow spokesperson said the pipeline inspection did not impact operations at the crackers.
