HOUSTON (ICIS)--Chevron Phillips Chemical's Sweeny crackers in Texas went down on Sunday as a result of a power outage, the company said in a public filing.

Power was restored and the company was working on stabilising the affected units, Chevron Phillips said in the filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

The company has three crackers in Sweeny with a combined 1.9m tonnes/year of ethylene capacity.

A Chevron Phillips spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
