HOUSTON (ICIS)--DuPont has begun a planned turnaround at its Orange cracker in Texas, the company said in a public filing available on Monday, citing possible flaring during the shutdown process.

The 680,000 tonne/year cracker was taken off line on 29 September, according to the filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

The unit will be down for 10 days, market sources said.

A DuPont spokesperson declined to comment on the company's maintenance plans.
