HOUSTON (ICIS)--The contract price of benchmark US Tampa ammonia for all October shipments increased 1% from September, a source close to the negotiations said on Monday.
The settlement between Yara and its customers brings the contract to $715/tonne (€558/tonne) CFR (cost and freight), up $10/tonne from the $705/tonne September price.
The increase for October is reflective of higher global market prices for ammonia, particularly in the Arabian Gulf and the Black Sea regions.
Tight global supplies of ammonia also contributed to the increased price in the US Gulf.
