LONDON (ICIS)--European epichlorohydrin (ECH) October contract prices rolled over as a result of a small drop in feedstock propylene prices, market sources said on Tuesday.
The October contract price is at €1,640-1,665/tonne ($2,103-2,135/tonne) FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe).
The European feedstock propylene contract price settled for October at €1,140/tonne FD NWE, down by €20/tonne from September, reflecting slightly lower upstream costs amid a balanced-to-long supply and demand balance.
ECH producers expected a bigger drop in propylene prices and said that it would have probably helped ECH demand. As a result of the small drop, they could not offer lower ECH prices.
