SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Arkema has completed the acquisition of a production site for acrylic additives and emulsions in Sao Paolo from Brazilian firm Resicryl, the French chemical producer said on Wednesday.

Financial details of the transaction, which was closed on 1 October, were not disclosed.

The purchase, made by Arkema subsidiary Coatex, is in line with the group’s strategy to boost presence “in high-growth countries”, Arkema said in a statement.

“The site’s production plants will gradually be developed to manufacture without delay Arkema’s full range of rheology additives and waterborne emulsions for the mineral industry, paper, construction, water treatment, paint and adhesives, and cosmetics markets,” Arkema said.
