Textile chems firm DyStar acquires distributor Anglostar

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Textile chemicals producer DyStar has acquired distributor Anglostar, including Anglostar’s subsidiaries in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, it said on Thursday.

Anglostar has been DyStar’s exclusive distributor in the Andean region since March 2010.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

“The acquisition of Anglostar is a pivotal move to accelerate the rapid growth that we are experiencing in 2012 in the Andean region,” said Ron Pedemonte, president of DyStar Americas.

“The combination of Anglostar’s excellent team and DyStar’s financial power will provide the Andean customers a strong and long-term supplier of dyes, chemicals, and services,” Pedemonte added.

DyStar is headquartered in Singapore.
