MOVES: Kley elected president of Germany's chem producers group VCI

LONDON (ICIS)--Germany’s chemical producers trade group VCI has elected Karl-Ludwig Kley as its new president, effective 6 October, it said on Friday.

Kley, who is CEO of Germany’s specialty chemicals and pharmaceuticals firm Merck KGaA, succeeds Klaus Engel. Engel, CEO of specialty chemicals producer Evonik, will stay on as a vice president of Frankfurt-based VCI.

Kley’s term as VCI president will expire in October 2014.
