The plants were restarted during the week of 30 September to 7 October as scheduled and have currently resumed normal operating capacity, the source added.
The derivative plants and naphtha cracker were shut on 21 and 22 August respectively for regular maintenance.
Prices are expected to be affected, as the plants’ restart will increase the supply of both the PE and PP in the market, sources said. However, the price direction is unclear, they added.
