SINGAPORE (ICIS)--India’s Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) plans to restart its 240,000 tonne/year polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plant in Dahej, Gujarat by 10 October after shutting it for maintenance on 25 September, a market source said on Monday.

According to the source, the producer also intends to revise the list prices for October after the unit resumes normal operation.

Regional producers had announced its list prices to be a rollover from September prices earlier in the month and said that a price revision would be made once operations at the Dahej plant resumed and a clear direction from the key Chinese market emerged.

Trade in China was subdued in the previous week because of the National Day holiday.

RIL operates two other PVC units at Hazira and Vadodara. The 360,000 tonne/year facility at Hazira and the 60,000 tonne/year plant at Vadodara continue to operate normally, the source added.
