SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Teck Guan China restarted its 100,000 tonne/year fatty alcohol plant at Rugao city in east China on 7 October, and it is operating the plant at 100% capacity, a company source said on Monday.

The plant was taken off line on 5 September as a result of some technical glitch, the source added.

The company has close to zero stock of the by-production glycerine currently, according to the source.

However, there is little impact on its customers as it had sufficient stocks before the shutdown to fulfil its regular customers’ requirements. The stocks gradually depleted as result of the shutdown. The restart of the plant would replenish the stocks required by its customers, the source added.
