Japan's JX Nippon Oil eyes Kawasaki cracker restart in a few days

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>Japan’s JX Nippon Oil & Energy plans to restart its 460,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker at Kawasaki in a few days, following extended maintenance caused by mechanical issues, a company source said on Tuesday.
JX Nippon planned to restart the cracker on around 8 or 10 October.
“The cracker hasn’t restarted yet. Hopefully, it will be restarted in a few days,” the source said.
The cracker was initially scheduled to resume operations on 28 September, after scheduled maintenance that started on 13 August. By: Felicia Loo
