SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s XiangLu Chemical Fiber plans to shut its 300,000 tonne/year polyester line at Xiamen in Fujian on 15 October for 15 days of regular maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.

The main products of this line are pre-oriented yarn (POY) and polyester staple fiber (PSF), the source added.

The line is operating at full rate now, and will continue to do so after maintenance, the source said.

Market players said they expect the shutdown to have little impact on the polyester market as the line's capacity is small.
