LONDON (ICIS)--Poland-based refiners PKN Orlen and Grupa Lotos have launched tenders for the 2013 supply of biodiesel esters and B100 100%-biodiesel, the companies said on Wednesday.

Suppliers and volumes to be supplied would be selected according to the offer prices and quality guarantees, Orlen and Lotos said.

Poland’s National Indicative Target for blending biodiesel esters into diesel is 5.65%.

However, refiners can reduce the amount of biodiesel they put into transportation fuels by sourcing at least 70% of their esters from producers registered with Poland’s Agricultural Agency Market.

Registration is awarded to Polish and non-Polish companies that can show they have set up their operations in accordance with Polish law.
