SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) futures fell by 0.7% on Thursday given expectations of weaker spot prices as available supply grows, industry sources said.

January LLDPE futures, the most actively traded contract on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE), closed at yuan (CNY) 10,365/tonne ($1,645/tonne), down by CNY75/tonne from the settlement price of CNY10,440/tonne on 10 October.

Around 985,255 tonnes of LLDPE or 394,102 contracts for delivery in January were traded on Thursday, according to the DCE data.
