LONDON (ICIS)--Novatek has agreed to supply Brazilian petrochemicals company Braskem with up to 1m tonnes of naphtha in 2013, the Russian gas producer said on Thursday.

The deal represents Novatek’s first supply order from its new Ust-Luga Transhipment and Gas Fractionation complex, which is still under construction.

When completed, the facility, by the Baltic Sea, will have a gas processing capacity of 6m tonnes/year, and will produce naphtha, heating oil, diesel and jet fuel, the company said.

The first phase, with a capacity of 3m tonnes/year, is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of this year, and the plant is expected to come fully on stream by Q4 2015.
