LONDON (ICIS)--BDI BioEnergy International has completed a contract with Portugese company Assunto Importante to upgrade an existing biodiesel plant at Sines, Portugal, to accept multiple feedstocks, the Austria-based biofuels firm said on Thursday.

The plant will now utilise waste products such as animal fat and used cooking oil to produce 25,000 tonnes/year of biodiesel for the local mineral oils industry.
