Ukraine's January-August TiO2 output down 3.3% year on year

MOSCOW (ICIS)--Ukraine's titanium dioxide (TiO2) production was down in January-August, the country's government data showed on Thursday.

In January-August 2012, Ukraine's TiO2 output amounted to 105,273 tonnes, or 3.3% down year on year.

In August, Ukraine's leading TiO2 manufacturer, Crimean Titanium, produced 9,200 tonnes, up by 1.2% up year on year.

However, production of Ukraine's second TiO2 producer, Sumykhimprom, amounted to 3,083 tonnes in August or 25.6% down year on year.
