HOUSTON (ICIS)--US refiner Valero has started planned maintenance at several units, including the fluid catalytic cracker (FCC) at its McKee refinery in Texas, a company spokesman said on Monday.
The work at the 156,000 bbl/day refinery in Sunray, Texas, will take place on the FCC, a sulphur recovery unit and a reformer, the company said in a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
“The FCC and other units remain shut down at McKee for planned work,” said company spokesman Bill Day.
Day added that there is no estimate for how long the outage will last.
