SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China may have imported a combined volume of 1.3m tonnes of polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) in September, stable from the previous month, local traders said on Wednesday.

An estimated volume of 780,000 tonnes of PE and 520,000 tonnes of PP were brought into the country, they said.

Comparing with the official data for August imports, September PE imports were down by 4.56% month on month, while PP imports were up by 3.89%, traders said, but the overall imports were stable.

The official data for China’s September imports will be released on 26 October.
