HOUSTON (ICIS)--Ecolab has agreed to sell its vehicle care division to Zep for about $120m (€92m), the US-based water chemicals, hygiene and energy technologies firm said on Wednesday.

The sale of the vehicle care division, which had sales of $66m last year, will allow Ecolab “to sharpen our strategic focus on our core business areas,” CEO Douglas Baker said.

Last week, Ecolab announced an agreement to acquire specialty chemicals firm Chamipon Technologies in a $2.2bn deal.

Zep supplies cleaning and maintenance products and services for commercial, industrial, institutional and consumer end-markets.
