HOUSTON (ICIS)--US-based producer ExxonMobil reported flaring from its Beaumont complex in Texas, citing a power outage at the site in a public filling on Thursday.

A power failure occurred, resulting in unit upset and flaring, the company said in the filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

ExxonMobil has a 900,000 tonne/year cracker in Beaumont.

A company spokesperson confirmed a unit upset occurred in Beaumont following a power failure, but declined to provide further details.
