RIO DE JANEIRO (ICIS)--Germany-based LANXESS plans to begin selling its bio-based ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM) by 2013, the company said on Thursday.

The product will be known as Keltan Eco, and it will be made at the LANXESS plant in Triunfo in Brazil.

While LANXESS has already produced the bio-based EPDM, the product is still being tested with costumers and should go to market by 2013, said Marcos Oliveira, head of the LANXESS technical rubber products business unit in South America.
