HOUSTON (ICIS)--Unigel's acrylonitrile (ACN) facility in Coatzacoalcos in the Mexican state of Veracruz has returned to production, market sources confirmed on Friday.
The plant was shut earlier in the month for maintenance.
The 60,000 tonne/year ACN facility has seen its share of ups and down this year.
In March, some propylene supply issues caused the company to shuts its ACN plant for about two weeks.
In August, the facility was restarted after a period of time when manufacturing costs made it too expensive to run the plant at a profit. The company did not disclose when it had shut the facility.
