LONDON (ICIS)--Workers at Galp Energia’s Sines and Matosinhos refineries in Portugal are striking over new labour legislation, a company spokesman said on Monday.
The strike started at midnight local time on Wednesday 17 October and is due to end at 6am on Tuesday, said Galp Energia spokesman Pedro Marques Pereira.
He added that there had been no impact on Galp Energia’s customers, despite some units being down and others operating at minimum levels.
The two refineries have a combined refining capacity of 330,000 bbl/day of oil.
The specific details of the new labour legislation were not disclosed.
A strike took place at the refineries last month for similar reasons.
