SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Hanwha Chemical plans to restart its 200,000 tonne/year polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plant at Ulsan on 1 November, a source close to the company said on Tuesday.
The unit was taken off line on 16 October for a scheduled maintenance turnaround, the source added.
The shutdown has little impact on the PVC market because of the prevailing sluggish demand, industry sources said.
