SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Formosa Plastics Corp (FPC) has dropped its November offers for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) to India by $80/tonne from October, amid tepid demand in the country, a company source said on Tuesday.

Its offers for November shipments are at $1,000/tonne (€770/tonne) CFR (cost & freight) India, the source added.

Quantity discounts of $10/tonne and $20/tonne are applicable for volumes of 500 tonnes and 1,000 tonnes respectively, while a discount of $30/tonne applies for volume of 2,000 tonnes and above, the source said.

FPC is allocating around 20,000 tonnes of material to India, roughly 33% of its total export quantity of 60,000 tonnes, according to the source.

The producer had earlier announced its import offers to China and export offers to deep-sea markets at $970/tonne CFR CMP (China Main Port) and $920/tonne FOB (free on board) Taiwan, down by $50/tonne and $70/tonne respectively.
