SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Nantong Xingchen Synthetic Material has restarted its 70,000 tonne/year polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) plant in China’s Jiangsu province on Tuesday, a company source said.
The PBT plant was taken off line on 20 August for maintenance, the source said.
Market participants do not expect the restart to have much impact on supply or prices of the material.
Natural-grade PBT is compounded with other additives and is used largely in the electronic industry.
