LONDON (ICIS)--US-based producer Momentive has resumed production at its 100,000 tonne/year liquid epoxy resins (LER) Pernis plant in the Netherlands, a company source said on Tuesday.

The company had declared force majeure at the plant on 10 October after a small explosion in one of the off-gas pipes.

"We have a backlog to clear but it is getting better every week, it is not all doom and gloom," the source said.

Production will be back to normal by the third or fourth week of November as the backlog should be cleared by then, the source added.
