HOUSTON (ICIS)--DuPont has restarted its Orange cracker in Texas after a three-week turnaround, market sources said on Tuesday.

The 680,000 tonne/year cracker was taken off line on 29 September, according to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

The unit was initially expected be down for only 10 days, market sources said.

No information was available on the reason for the delay in the restart.

A DuPont spokesperson said the company does not discuss plant operations or planned maintenance programmes.
