China’s Jiangsu Hongxing Chemical to restart DOP plant on 29 Oct

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Jiangsu Hongxing Chemical plans to restart its 120,000 tonnes/year dioctyl phthalate (DOP) unit at Nantong in Jiangsu province on 29 October, a source close to the company said on Wednesday.

The Chinese producer took its DOP unit off line on 22 October for scheduled maintenance, the source added.

The week-long shutdown will not push DOP prices up in the domestic market, because of the weak downstream demand, a trader said.

Jiangsu Hongxing Chemical is a key plasticizer producer in Jiangsu province.
