SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Fujian Sanming Chemical Complex plans to restart its 16,000 tonne/year melamine unit at Fujian in southern China in early November, a company source said on Wednesday.
The plant was shut on 16 October for its annual maintenance, the source said.
Fujian Sanming Chemical Complex will have limited cargo for the spot market, the source added.
According to market sources, the impact due to the shutdown will be minimal as demand remains weak on bearish macroeconomic conditions.
Major domestic melamine producers in China include Sichuan Meifeng, Tianjin Kaiwai, Sichuan Chemical and Shandong Haihua.
