SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Formosa Plastics Corp (FPC) has revised down its November offers by $20-40/tonne (€15-31/tonne) to spur buying activities amid slow demand, a company source said on Wednesday.

November shipment offers are currently at $950/tonne CFR (cost and freight) CMP (China Main Port) and $970/tonne CFR India, $20/tonne and $30/tonne lower than FPCC’s initial offers of $970/tonne CFR CMP and $1,000/tonne CFR India, respectively.

FPC has also reduced its export offers by $40/tonne to $880/tonne FOB (free on board) Taiwan from its initial quote of $920/tonne FOB Taiwan.

Quantity discounts of $10/tonne and $20/tonne for volumes of 500 tonnes and 1,000 tonnes, respectively, are still applicable to all markets. A discount of $30/tonne applies for volume of 2,000 tonnes and above to India.

FPC’s total export volume for November shipments is estimated at around 60,000 tonnes, according to the source.
