SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s combined imports of polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) in September totalled 1.30m tonnes, up by 15.9% from the same period last year and a 1.12% decrease from August, official data showed on 25 October.
Total PP imports in September stood at 521,300 tonnes, according to China Customs. PP imports rose by 29.8% from the same period a year ago and increased by 4.16% compared with the previous month’s figures.
The country’s PE imports stood at 781,700 tonnes in September, up by 8.16% year on year but a 4.36% decrease from August figures.
