China's Sinopec Baling to invest CNY3.6bn in new capro plant

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>China’s Sinopec Baling Co is planning to invest about yuan (CNY) 3.6bn ($577m) to build a 200,000 tonne/year caprolactam (capro) plant at Fuqing in Fujian province, its parent firm said on Friday
The plant will consist of two 100,000 tonne/year lines, and is expected to come on stream in 2014, Sinopec said.
Output from the plant will focus on serving the Fujian market, it said.
