US ethylene margins fall 7.6% on drop in spot prices
A steep fall in US spot ethylene prices pushed ethylene margins for the third week of October down by 7.6%, the ICIS margin report showed on Monday.

US MMA market surprised by 7 cent/lb increase nomination
US methyl methacrylate (MMA) market players expressed surprise on Monday at the size of Dow Chemical’s recent price increase nomination for November.

US DuPont’s Q3 net income down sharply to $10m, begins restructuring
DuPont’s third-quarter net income fell sharply to $10m (€7.7m) from $452m reported in the same period in 2011, as sales fell through poor demand, the US major chemicals and science based group said on Tuesday.

US DuPont looks to 2013 for recovery in TiO2
DuPont expects its titanium dioxide (TiO2) business to begin improving next year, primarily because of higher infrastructure investments in China and elsewhere in Asia, a stabilisation in Europe, as well as continued growth in US housing, company executives said on Tuesday.
