SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Linde’s net profit rose by 5.6% year on year to €904m ($1.17bn) in the first nine months of this year, partly boosted by additional revenues from newly-acquired Lincare, the German industrial gas supplier said on Monday.
The company’s sales rose by 8.4% year on year to €11.1bn in January-September 2012, while operating profit was up by 8.5% at €2.56bn, Linde said in a statement.
US-based medical gases and respiratory healthcare firm Lincare generated revenues of €231m following the completion of the acquisition in August this year, it said.
"We continue to expect that we will achieve increases in group revenue and group operating profit in the full year 2012 when compared with the previous year,” said Linde CEO Wolfgang Reitzle.
“We want to achieve group operating profit in the 2013 financial year of at least €4bn,” he added.
Linde’s third-quarter financial results were not immediately available.
