LONDON (ICIS)--DKSH is now responsible for the distribution of Munich-based Wacker Chemie’s silicones portfolio for personal care applications throughout southeast Asia, the Swiss-headquartered market expansion company said on Tuesday.
DKSH said the distribution agreement started as of October 2012, without providing a specific date. Financial details for the agreement were not disclosed.
The chemical distributor added that Wacker Silicones ranks among the world’s largest manufacturers of silanes and silicones, with a range of over 3,000 silicone products.
“We are looking forward to leveraging on our size, experience, and industry know-how to provide further tailored services and exceptional distribution opportunities to expand Wacker Silicones’ reach in the southeast Asian markets,” said Mario Preissler, global head of DKSH’s Business Unit Performance Materials.
