SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Jinzhou Petrochemical restarted its 60,000 tonne/year styrene monomer (SM) unit at Jinxi of Liaoning province in northeast China on 31 October, a company source said on Wednesday.

China’s Jinzhou Petrochemical shut its SM unit in late July for 90 days of maintenance.

The unit can produce 3,000-4,000 tonnes/month of SM, which are supplied to the northern China market.

The producer will restore its contractual and spot supply in the coming week, the company source said.
