SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thailand’s HMC Polymers’ polypropylene (PP) plants at Map Ta Phut, Thailand, have resumed normal production after a brief outage, a source close to the company said on Wednesday.

The producer’s 250,000 tonne/year PP plant was shut for four days last week because of a technical issue, the source said.

Its 300,000 tonne/year PP plant resumed production on 30 October after a six-day shutdown caused by a technical issue, he said.

Its other PP plant at the same site with a 200,000 tonne/year capacity was not affected by the recent technical problems, he added.

The producer could not be reached for comment.
