HOUSTON (ICIS)--Power has been restored at Phillips 66’s 238,000 bbl/day Bayway refinery in New Jersey, a company executive said on Wednesday.
Hurricane Sandy caused some flooding in low lying areas at the refinery, but the waters have receded. Power was restored early on Wednesday morning, the executive said in the company’s third quarter earnings conference call.
The refinery and three storage terminals in the New Jersey/New York region remain temporarily shut down at this time, the company said.
The company has no time frame for resuming operations, but will announce a restart date once the damage has been assessed.
