India’s Dhampur Alco shuts etac, alcohol plants for overhaul

MELBOURNE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>India’s Dhampur Alco Chem has shut its ethyl acetate (etac) plant and alcohol distillery at Dhampur in Uttar Pradesh on 31 October for maintenance lasting 10 days, said a company source on Thursday.
Its etac plant has a capacity of 72,000 tonnes/year, while its sugar molasses-based distillery at the same site can produce 51m litres of alcohol a year, according to Dhampur Alco Chem's website. By: Trisha Huang
