SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Arya Sasol Petrochemical Co (ASPC) has assured its customers on Wednesday that it will continue to export polyethylene (PE) by the virtue of its plant location within the PARS Special Energy Economic Zone (PSEEZ) in Asaluyeh, sources close to the company said on Thursday.

A final list on the products to be included in the reported exports ban being mulled by the Iranian government has yet to be firmed, they said.

ASPC, which has a 300,000 tonne/year low density PE (LDPE) and a 300,000 tonne/year high density (HDPE) plant at the site is an active exporter of low density PE (LDPE) and high density (HDPE) grades to markets such as China and India.

Another Iranian producer Jam Petrochemical Co (JPC), on the other hand, has halted new PE contract negotiations pending clarifications on the export ban.
