US propylene inventories fall 1.6% week on week to 4.152m bbl

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US propylene inventories fell by 1.6% during the week ended 26 October, according to data released by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Thursday.

US propylene inventories for refinery-sourced non-fuel material were at 4.152m bbl, down from 4.221m bbl the previous week.

The inventory decline is the ninth consecutive fall, with inventories reaching their lowest since the week ended 29 June at 4.147m bbl.

US refinery operating rates increased during the week, moving to 87.7% from 87.2% the previous week.

US refinery-grade propylene (RGP) was offered at 53 cents/lb ($1,168/tonne, €900/tonne) on Thursday.
