SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thailand’s Integrated Refinery Petrochemical Complex (IRPC) is currently running its metathesis unit that can produce around 100,000 tonnes/year of propylene at around full capacity, a company source said on Friday.
The plant at Muang was started up in September, the source said.
“Before, we are short of propylene, but now, we are quite balanced after the unit started up,” the source told ICIS.
IRPC also runs a 350,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker and a deep fluid catalytic cracking (DCC) unit at the site. The DCC can produce around 120,000 tonnes/year of propylene.
