SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Nan Ya Plastics has postponed the restart date of its 200,000 tonne/year 2-ethylhexanol (2-EH) unit at Mailiao to mid-November, a company source said on Friday.

The unit was shut in mid-September for annual maintenance and was initially scheduled to restart in end-October.

The company has pushed back the restart date as maintenance works are not completed yet, the source said.

There are currently limited spot cargoes available for the spot market, the source added.
