Japan's September naphtha for ethylene imports down 4.3% - METI

TOKYO (ICIS)--Japan’s naphtha imports for ethylene production decreased by 4.3% to 1.12m tonnes in September from the previous month, official data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) showed on Friday.

The country imported $1bn in value of naphtha for ethylene production in September, a 1.3% increase from $987m in August, according to the ministry.

The average price of naphtha was $894.4/tonne in September, a 5.9% increase from the previous month, based on the data.
