BANGKOK (ICIS)--Thailand’s Integrated Refinery Petrochemical Complex (IRPC) plans to complete the expansion of its acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) plant at Map Ta Phut in the second quarter of next year, a company source said on Monday.
The company is expanding the plant’s capacity by 60% to 160,000 tonnes/year.
“Trial production at the expanded plant will start early second quarter next year,” the source said.
The targeted application markets for the additional ABS output include the local electric automobiles, he said.
