MELBOURNE (ICIS)--China’s Ningbo Zhenyang plans to shut its 15,000 tonne/year methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) plant at Ningbo in Zhejiang province for annual maintenance in the second half of November, a company source said on Monday.
The plant will be off line for about 10 days, the source said.
However, the exact dates of the scheduled overhaul have yet to be finalised, the source added.
Ningbo Zhenyang’s MIBK plant was last shut for maintenance between 18 December 2011 and 12 January 2012.
Other MIBK makers in China include Jilin Petrochemical, Zhenjiang LCY General Chemical and Taizhou Petrochemical.
